Not everyone likes editing, but you can do it while writing instead of after. My favorite work-around is editing as I write and stopping to check my work after a couple paragraphs. What’s your favorite editing strategy?
I write by hand so there are lots of scribbles as I go but my first true "edit" is when I type from the handwriting. I hear it better in my head during this process, almost like I'm reading aloud, so I know which words don't belong.
I edit while and after I write. It really helps me to read aloud my work, so I can see what doesn't sound right. I think my favorite editing strategy is using a "fun" colored pen to edit, sorry, I know that sounds kind of lame, but I love purple pens, and I think the "fun" color makes the process less serious and allows me to have fun while editing
Have you ever tried reading what you wrote backwards? I find that help me sometimes, because I don't get into the same rhythm of reading that makes me miss mistakes.

Interesting strategy! See, my handwriting is so awful I'm not sure I'd be able to transcribe it afterwards.

Hmmm, I've never try that, but I'll give it a shot, thanks!
*oops, I meant "tried", not "try".
